Potez 4E20 Aircraft Engine - Operation and Maintenance Manual in French

Manual Origin

The basis for preparing the following files was supplied to me by Pierre Duval, who found an original manual from 1967 in unused immaculate condition. This made the scanning and subsequent converting to a high-quality PDF document easy. Original manual date is Edition 3, March 1967.

Conversion, Viewing and Printing Information

The manual was scanned to Adope Photoshop where the individual pages were retouched to get rid of the most obvious scratches, ink plots, dirt etc., then saved as TIFF files in 300 and 600 dpi resolution. Afterwards, all the pages were converted together into one Adobe PDF document, again a version in 300 and a version in 600 dpi. The 600 dpi version takes up a lot of disk space (over 8 MByte), so you probably need a fast Internet connection to download this version. Also printing is probably difficult on printers with only limited memory. If you are having problems, try printing one page at a time or a few pages at a time. Below, you can also find the manual as individual pages in both TIFF and PDF format at 300 and 600 dpi resolution. The TIFF Images cannot be (correctly) displayed by all browsers, in which case you have to download them to your hard drive and then view and print them with some kind of graphics software (on PC's, I can recommend IrfanView, a very powerful Image Viewer, available free of charge on the web site indicated for non-commercial purposes). The free Adobe PDF Viewer is available for download here. In general, the PDF files are smaller and should therefore be preferred unless you don't want to install the Acrobat Reader or want to work with the graphics contained in the file.
